Homeless Prevention success examples:

Single mom, Jenna just completed coursework for a degree in pharmacy tech. She supported her family through two years of full-time school while working full time at WalMart. In order to graduate, her program required that she complete 200 hours of externship, which she could not manage to balance with full time work. In order to complete her externship by deadline, she cut back on her hours at WalMart and subsequently fell behind on money to pay the rent. Growing Home assisted Jenna and her two children with one months rent, financial counseling and resource linkage. Jenna not only avoided a financial and housing crisis, but she graduated successfully from her program and can now gain higher paying work as a pharmacy tech.

Maria and Enemecio, owners of a North Metro home, fearfully realized they were unable to make their mortgage in December. They panicked as they began to fall behind and worried about the possibility of foreclosure. They worked hard to provide the best for their young 3 children. However, a hospitalization and several snow days compounded into a dangerous amount of unpaid leave and unplanned expenses. Growing Home helped them become current on their mortgage, and they stabilized out of a
scary period.
