Hot-line callers and food bank shoppers receive help with resources and referrals for health care, eye glasses, dental care, disability applications and other health needs.
Mobile Medical Van** provides complete medical care to children and parents twice per month on site at Growing Home. As families stabilize into long term housing, Growing Home helps each family to find a permanent medical home in their community. Meanwhile, however, many shelter guests and clients are in transition, and need urgent care. Often, when families are in crisis, they are forced to neglect or delay medical treatment and check ups. The Medical Van partnership provides comprehensive and needed care.
Vaccines Growing Home offers a free annual flu shot clinic in partnership with St. Anthony North Hospital each fall. Additionally, regularly scheduled childhood vaccines are available at no cost on the mobile medical van. |
