Growing Home transforms lives by nurturing children, strengthening families, and creating community.

Growing Home provides families with a pipeline of programs to nurture early development and prepare children for a lifetime of success. Programs are guided by current research and trends in early childhood development and are offered in both English and Spanish. Participants receive wrap-around support through Growing Home’s Strengthening Families programs.

Parents As Teachers (PAT)

Getting children ready to succeed in school

Parent as Teachers is a home-visitation program for children prenatal through 5 years. Certified parent educators teach child development, giving parents tools for their children’s best social, emotional, physical and intellectual start. Growing Home’s PAT program won the LOSOS Prize for Excellence in 2012, recognizing it as one of the top three PAT programs in the world.

Incredible Years Parent Group

Nurturing strong bonds between parent and child

This 14-week parent education class utilizes the nationally recognized Incredible Years curriculum, offering a group setting where parents come together to share tips, discuss challenges, and offer support for the hardest job in the world – parenting. Incredible Years parent groups serve families with children ages 3-8.

Cradling Literacy Program

Closing the 30 million word gap

Children from low-income families are exposed to 30 million fewer words by age three than their peers, a difference that has life-long effects. Cradling Literacy is a research-based curriculum that nurtures early language and literacy in babies and children from birth through age 5. The goal is to increase a family’s reading time, create good early literacy habits in the home, and increase a child’s word exposure.

After-School Tutoring
